Privacy Policy

FlightLens (“we”, “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app uses — and more importantly, what it does not collect.

1. Location Data

FlightLens uses your device’s GPS location solely to:

• display live flight data (speed, altitude, heading, coordinates),
• identify the country you are flying over (on-device lookup), and
• optionally record a flight path in your on-device flight log when recording is active.

Location processing happens entirely on your device. Location data is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or any third party. FlightLens does not request background location for core features.

2. Photos & Videos

FlightLens may access your photo library for these on-device purposes only:

• Add-only save: stamped photos and videos you capture can be saved to Photos.
• Attach to a flight: you may optionally pick existing photos to add into a flight album stored on your device.
• Cabin Tidy: with your permission, the app can scan on-device thumbnails to group similar or duplicate photos and let you delete selected items using Apple’s system confirmation UI.

Photos and videos are never uploaded to any FlightLens server. Flight data stamps and tidy matching are processed on-device. We operate no media backend.

3. On-Device Flight Logs

FlightLens may store flight statistics, notes, and local media references on your device using Apple’s on-device storage (including SwiftData / application support files). This data stays on your device unless you delete it or erase the app.

4. No Data Collection

FlightLens does not collect, store on our servers, or transmit personal data for advertising or analytics. There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no tracking, and no accounts. We operate no backend for core app features, which work offline.

5. In-App Purchases

Purchases of FlightLens Pro are processed by Apple. Apple’s privacy practices apply to payment processing. We do not receive or store payment card details.

6. This Website

This marketing site is static informational content. It does not require an account and is not used to collect flight or photo data from the app.

7. Children’s Privacy

The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The latest version will be posted at https://flightlens.qalangtao.com/privacy.html and/or included in the app.
